»This morning I have received the (very nice) vinyl and the digipack
(very nice too) of The Schulze-Schickert Session. God! No nostalgia (although...), but such a delightful rejuvenating experience! One of the 2 bonus,Spirits of the Dead (I do like that title very much) is something special. Really. It seems my all life is told there. I know, it sounds stupid or naive. Or both :) Most of the time, while listening music, I see no special images but hear more sounds. The very time I'm living is the music itself (herself?). And when the album reaches its end, the music stays, still playing for a while, or for the day, into my mind, giving sense to my day-to-day life (with my dear wife, of course :). But when listening that title, I saw images of my all life, like it appears to happen when we drown. And mostly the most happy moments :) This day will be a very good one indee !« (Michel) |

»... zum x-ten Mal habe ich jetzt den langen Track gehört, ach was,
genossen, und wie! Zwitschernde Filter, kräftige analoge Klänge, flotte
Sequenzen, super Transpositionen, Herz was willst Du mehr!
Die Sounds klingen genauso roh und echt, wie es für die Zeit typisch
war. Keine berechneten Sägezähne, Rechtecke und so weiter, sondern pure
analoge Kraft. Und man muss schon einen guten Tacken Genialität haben
wenn man dann solche Stücke abliefert, ich vermute das war auch live
eingespielt ohne Proben, Vor-bereitungen und so weiter. Oder? Das würde
mich bei KS aber sehr wundern. Ach ja, im Booklet ist's bestätigt,
wieder mal typisch präzise kdm-Recherche: spontane Session! Würde mich auch nicht wundern, wenn die Schulze-Schicker Session die dritte Seite von Timewind ist. Klanglich passt es auf jeden Fall, müsste auch zeitlich hinkommen. Das ist der Schulze wie ich ihn am liebsten mag. Ich weiß, dass KS sich weiterentwickelt hat, und sein heutiger Stil deutlich von den frühen Werken abweicht. Und das ist auch vollkommen in Ordnung! Die aktuellen Werke verdienen die Beachtung, die ihnen zusteht, aber ich bin und bleibe nun mal Fan der alten Sachen. Einen Picasso schmeißt man doch auch nicht weg nur weil er in die Jahre gekommen ist! Und die Schulze-Schickert Sessionist einfach Klasse, Klasse, Klasse. »A gem from the past. Analogue heaven. You will love this. One of those
albums that will get played time and time again. Klaus at his best. Klaus captured during his most innovative and absorbing period. Amazing recording. It sounds so much better than the bootleg, that it's almost unbelieveable. Great dynamics. All three from British fan.
