Inter*Face

Klaus Schulze: Inter*Face
Heard Again

»May I share with you a funny incident that happened to me the other day. You have been on about in the KS Circle recently "re-heard albums", so I thought I would look at my collection and choose one that I have not heard for some time. "*Inter*Face*" I thought, I always liked this and it's been a few years since I last got it out and played it.

As I drive for many hours a day during the course of my business I thought the best idea would be to take it with me in the car so that I could listen to it without being disturbed at home.

Track one, brilliant, just as good as I remember it, volume needs turning up to appreciate it a bit more. Track two, (by now the volume is cranked way up loud) "what the..." sounds like an Ambulance coming up behind me at breakneck speed, so I slow down rapidly and pull over to let it overtake, much to the annoyance of the other cars following behind. Then it dawned on me, it wasn't an Ambulance at all but the beginning of "Colours In The Darkness". On my car system the sounds at the start are just like the noise our UK Ambulances make when on an emergency call. A few very annoyed drivers drove past me shaking their fists and shouting obscenities. Oh well, back to listening to the album... with a very red face.

By the way, tracks three and four are just as good as I remember them to be. All in all a fine album and one that I should have listened to more often over the years.;«
